Thinking Mathematically Ch. 11 -- Outing Solution

When I first chose this question, it seemed like a fairly straightforward Pre-Calc-11 word problem. But I quickly realized that there was a lot of information missing. I didn't know the distance between the cities or anything to do with the velocities. I started by summarizing the information I had and what I was trying to find.

I tried to make some equations that connected the information given. Here, I recruited Jasmine to help me create these equations and actually come up with how to use them. The numbers worked out well, but I wasn't sure if this was a good sign or not...

This solution seems reasonable, but I'm not sure I'm satisfied with the answer. It is counterintuitive to me that the velocity cancels out. I feel like I'm missing an equation from my system of equations. So, I'm still thinking on this problem...
